Oh Yeon joo (Han Hyo Joo) is a heart surgeon at Myungsei University Mecdical Center in the real world. Where as Kang Chul (Lee jong-suk) is the main character of the comic book which is written by her father.  Her father is a famous author of the popular web-comic W in the real world. The things gets complicated when her father decides to kill off Kang Chul. One day Oh Yeon joo's father want missing and she goes to find her father at his studio where she gets pulled into the comic world and comes face to face with it's hero. When she comes back in the real world she kowns that her father wants to kill off Kang Chul. So whenever her father tries to kill off Kang Chul she gets pulled into the comic world and she saves his life everytime.
